Breed Information
Below are a few websites that have some wonderful information about the English Bulldog & Pug breed.
English Bulldog
Brief Description : English Bulldogs are small in stature but wide and compact with thick, massive heads. The muzzle is short and pug. The coat comes in many colors, including fawn, red, white, black, brindle or any combination of these colors. Black is undesirable in the show ring but not a disqualification and is recognized by the AKC. Because the stocky legs are set squarely at each corner of the compact, muscular body, the Bulldog's deliberate gate has become a waddle. The English Bulldog is affectionate, uncomplicated, gentle, intelligent, sensitive, and fearless. They are known for their loyalty and their happy-go-lucky attitude is in sharp contrast to its sour face. They are good family dogs, known for their courage and their excellent guarding abilities. English Bulldogs are happiest by their owner’s side and will misbehave if ignored. English Bulldogs are active, alert, and playful, but not unduly boisterous. They enjoy mixing with other dogs and household pets. They are great with children, well behaved, adaptable, comfortable companions with an affectionate nature and even disposition. They are likely to drool when panting excessively or after drinking. They also generally snort and snore quite loudly. These dogs need little exercise or grooming except for the face which should be wiped daily in the face folds with a damp cloth. A lot of human attention is needed for Bulldog happiness!

Pug
Brief Description: The Pug is stubby and muscular with a wide chest, straight, very strong front legs and well-muscled hind legs. They have that "smashed in" face that many of the Asian breeds possess, and a tail that curls over the back. They often have a black mask and tan fur, and they also come in black, apricot, silver, and fawn. They receive their name "Pug" from the Latin word that means "clenched fist". To communicate with humans Pugs make a grunting nasal noise, somewhat like a pig. They often snort and sneeze. Being snuggled down at your feet snoring or being close to you, without being obtrusive, are some of Pugs' favorite activities. Pugs are dogs who tends to make people smile because they are convinced of their own importance. They can be determined in their attitude and will not stop until they get what they want. They are affectionate, alert, and patient dogs. Pugs are adaptable, sociable and good-natured. They have a strong personality meant for a family seeking an amusing and unique companion. Pugs have been called "an acquired habit".
